I got a PM from the final buyer. I guess he saw my thread in the Tech forum. I got $2000 for it, and he gets full warranty from Falcon, plus it will betuned up with all the latest drivers/tweaks, and it will all be registered in his name, as if he bought it new from Falcon.

I think I'm going to try to sell my XP1900+ system for $1000 if people are paying this much for computers.

I don't see your point. He has the backing of Falcon for life now. He has a three year warranty. There are no OEM parts in it. He has a fast Plexwriter. Corsair ram He also has it all built, and tweaked by Falcom. Why do you think Falcon wins all the shootouts between gaming companys? because they know what their doing.
Ray, you may think you can build a system as good as Falcon, but your only kidding yourself.

Build your system. Use it for 4 months, and see if you can get $2000 for it.

I always built my own systems. My last one I sold to Goose. I decided to get a Falcon to see if there would be a difference. There is, and i'm not sorry for spending the extra money. It's one less thing to worry about. I plug it in, and it works perfect.

I did something different this time. I sent them the FB CD. They installed it, and tweaked the system to run the game at it's best. I'm curious to see how they set it up.

I have been looking at the website and I'm pretty sure they offer better equipment then Alienwere. I would like to know how happy you are with the setup, as I am seriously looking at getting a new comp from falcon. Did you get the Air Combat paintjob?

I could give you a ton of reasons why Falcon is better than Alienware. Falcon has a toll free number. call them up, and talk to them. they are really cool. Best customer service i've ever seen. Ask them why they are better than Alienware. Your eyes will be opened. It's not BS either. I checked all they told me.

My system sits under the desk, and you can barely see it, so no fancy paint job. I like the aluminum look anyway.

Falcon, Alienware, they all suck. They will want $700 more than what it would cost you to build your own. Sure, some people don't mind throwing $700 away just so some guy can take an hour to build their computer but others do.

Basically, these companies prey on uneducated gamers with too much cash on their hands.

I agree that mainline companys do prey on the unknowing, but let me ask you this. How much is time worth? Because it isn't a question of what the system is worth wholesale to me but the time it would take to build it. I quite literally have NO time to put my dream system together and it's worth alot to me to be able to get "instant access" to a decent system.I don't pretend to admit to the knowledge of building comps, and so I would pay more to know that I will get quality support and rapid responce times. Not that I have the money for it anyways, but if/when I did,I'd pay.

Your as stupid as ever Ray, and your crap is getting old. How about you keep your biased opinions to yourself. You don't know everything you think you do.

Hey Buzz, just made my own Mach V system and this was my price: $2,147.00. That's without a sound card, any CD-Rom or CD-RW drives, no moniter, no modem, no extras (accept a T-shirt) and no removable storage. I'm sure they're great, but that's a little stiff for my budget.

I built my system a year ago, a lot of room for improvement and a really generic case (just a beige dragon).

By the way, does anyone know the best way to keep dust out of your case?
