Its a bit bland, hope that doesnt offend you. You might wanna do something to it. I dont really like the angle of the 109 or the proximity of it to the other objects.

No offence taken, that is what I wanted to hear...
I wont edit any of my pics.. But I am not a history buff, and that is my main concern. If you think its a piece of $hit, that is fine.. tell me http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif LOL

no, i really like it. where did you find htat skin? Im a photographer by trade, and i kinda like the set up myself, as ive done a ton of airshow photos. (that doesnt mean i have better taste than any1 else though).

Just my 2 cents worth......im known as a bland kinda guy myself, since my primary hobby is sitting at a computer and re-enacting WW2. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

It's good but if you could get a bit more "movement" into the pic it would look better, something like a contrail or smoke from damage to show the path of some of the planes. Or take it from another more unusal angle. You wouldn't get so many planes in shot but it could look more alive. That's just what I think, anyway.
Cheers,
FSM

The B-17s cry out for something besides the default skin. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

It might benefit from some more action. I don't know, but there's something that bugs me about it. Maybe I've just gotten too used to seeing edited shots... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Nice Screenie, but IMHO what I think is wrong is it's a little too static, like planes hanging on string rather than in actual combat.

Maybe have one of the B-17's with an engine on fire, or one of the 109's attacking the B-17.

The shot should tell a story but from this it's hard to tell what's is going on.

Remember in real life the fighters main interest would be the bombers, not the fighter escort. All the planes look they're sort of ignoring each other, if that makes sense

Hope that is helpful and not too harsh, keep it up!!

All that matters is if YOU like it.
Art is subjective and each person sees each work of art thru their own tinted views.

I like it.

this is what I wanted. feedback.. I will re-take the shot with a little more action. but I did not want too much action.. but I think its should have at least a little...

thanks..

Looks good, its my new wall paper http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

As you have given licence to nitpick, let me have a go:

The 109K4 didn't start to see service until October/November of 1944. So there are a couple of things you can do with that;

1. The ground should probably be a winter map. Most 109Ks didn't see service until the winter of 1944/45.

2. As its at least late October, should the P-51 have invasion stripes? Invasion stripes on Allied planes seem to have disappeared by about September 1944. Otherwise, they should appear very weathered, having been on for so long.

3. The 109s should be going straight for the bombers. Standard German tactic was to attack from head on and then dive away from return fire and enemy fighters. Zooming up through the middle of a bomber formation probably wasn't a tactic condusive to survival.

ok, so lets say I redo this... What kind of paint on the P51?

The Glossy skin with the 30 meter flametail is best if you ask me. Or any other paintscheme with a 30m flametail for that matter. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif

A really nice picture , but dont think that the mustang should be in the position as shown

Some comments, based on the books I have read, that I feel might be valid about the flight paths of the fighters.

1) The Me109s having made the attack would generally not bleed energy by climbing after the attack. This would take them up towards the high cover escort fighters. The classic attack would be a fast dive , through the cover, leveling off for the head on attack and then extend away in a dive to maintain speed and hopefully escape the escort fighters or the defensive fire.

2) The defensive cover fighters tried to keep a distance from the bombers as the gunners would understandably shoot off at anything that came near so it wasnt a healthy area to fly in http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif so the mustang looks too close to the bombers.

The mustangs flight path does not look correct. If it had been part of the high cover it would be diving down to try to catch the me109s so would be in the rear of the me109s.

If it was in the close escort then it would pull head on to the me109s and try to divert the attack, supposing that this was the case with the 2 lead me109s then it would not expose its belly to the large 109 in forground but should have curved left to face this, leaving the 2 others to the high escort.

If the mustang was removed then the flight paths of the 109s would be realistic as the scenrio would more accuratly represent an attack on undefended bombers.

Of course the above comments are based on "perfect" manouvers that the defenders and attackers tried to perform and there is nothing to say that what you depict could not or did not occur so its just some thoughts of mine.

thanks again for the screenshot

I was thinking a bit along the lines of ImpStarDuece, the 109's should perhaps be on their way down, not up. It ruins a bit of the potential speed and dynamic of the picture, making them appear to hang rather than fly.

Very nice skin on the 109 BTW.
