I felt since R63 and Black Arrow players have only been with the Rainbow Six series since 2003, they should know the roots of where Rainbow Six the series comes from:

Rainbow Six (August, 1998)
Platforms: PC/Mac/DC/PS1/N64/GBC
http://rainbowsix.3dretreat.com/images/box/rb6box.jpg

Terrorist Hunt from Embassy Map (R6) (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Nv_s4C_G7Hg)

Note: The original graphics were limited due to the hardware of the time. No first person weapon model and the emphasis on slow and methodical stealth-like gameplay.

Rainbow Six: Eagle Watch (January, 1999)
Platforms: PC/Mac/DC/N64

Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear (September, 1999)
Platforms: PC/Mac/DC/PS1/GC/GBA

Terrorist Hunt on City Streets Large (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cIOQA2_Ikc)

Note: Gameplay is much faster than original R6 and now includes such things as leaning and 3rd-Person view.

Rainbow Six: Urban Operations (April, 2000)
Platforms: PC/Mac/DC/PS1

Rainbow Six: Covert Ops Essentials (September, 2000)
Platforms: PC

Rainbow Six: Black Thorn (November, 2001)
Platforms: PC

*Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield (March, 2003)

Raven Shield Gameplay Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUyswAI_a4U)

Note: The following video shows the true concept of Rainbow Six and that is to use multiple teams, milestones and Go-Codes for a simultaneous assault on the enemy.

*Rainbow Six 3: Athena Sword (Feburary, 2004)
Platforms: PC, Xbox, PS2, GC

*Rainbow Six 3: Iron Wrath (June, 2005)

Platforms: **PC Only

*This is the code base for R63 and Black Arrow expansions on the consoles.

**Many of the maps in Iron Wrath appeared first in the Black Arrow expansion for consoles such as "Nuclear Reactor" and "Rocket Base."

Yes.

We can't forget "Takedown" as it is a huge part of the R6 Legacy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Your RvS video footage doesn't work at this very moment:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUyswAI_a4U

BTW, I've ever seen this footage and I'd very much like to archive it for myself. Would it be possible for you to make a downloadable version available ?

Good post Kungfu. You have some posted that I wasnt able to get my hands on. Please continue to educate the "console kids" on the Forgotten Rainbow games. Like you said before... they make games now for the younger run and gun gamer. I remember those game took anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes to set way points, pick the right team operatives for the task and the right gear before you even entered into battle. Ah.. those were the days.

Yep. Can't forget Takedown.

I am one of the ones that has it.

I have everything except Lockdown for PC and CH for XBOX.

The funny thing is that I bought a copy of Takedown from a guy on here who later asked me through Ebay(where I bought it through) to give him the CD Key so he could play the burnt copies he made.

Its nice that your letting console players about the history of R6, and the screen shots are nice but you should mention the book which is a must read before even thinking about playing any of the R6 games.
