I've been out of the loop for some time and I've been trying to follow up on threads concerning this ultimate collection CD/DVD that will include the exotic PE-2 download, Manchuria, and 1946 hypothetical. But for the life of me I cannot find hard evidence of its existence or development and availability in the U.S.

Somebody please enlighten me...I'm frustrated and excited at the same time!

There aren't any details on a U.S. release yet. Hopefully there will be some good news in the coming weeks though.

Don't worry, though. If nothing else, GoGamer! will import it for the U.S. market. They did that when the "Complete Edition" DVD was released to Europe and Australia last spring.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

So the 1946 DVD dose contain all the addons and games then? I didn't get a response in the other topic.

It contains everything through 4.07 ('46).
It should contain an installer that will do a complete
merged install on a clean HD. Won't that be great!
There may be one additional patch after that, there has been
talk of a 4.08 with add-ons that didn't make it in time,
and any fixes for any bugs that show up after release of the DVD.
Then everything moves on to SoW BOB. Mentioned also
was some possible third party work for the IL2 series
after the developer moves on to BOB.

Yes, and some bonus stuff.

A: Projected for November is a DVD with the entire series up to this point (Forgotten Battles, Ace Expansion Pack, Pacific Fighters, Pe-2 Peshka, Sturmoviks over Manchuria, and IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946) as well as bonuses like a 450-page Pilot Operating Handbook for our 229 flyable planes; never before published photos of the team; team video; materials about SoW:BoB development; etc. Also planned is to release the latest add-ons separately. </div></BLOCKQUOTE><div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Actually everybody talks about aerial combat. I maintain that hitting ground targets, and especially ships is more dangerous than aerial combat. - Joe Foss

Neat! So if I get this one I won't have to buy anymore stuff for IL-2, the possable 4.08 patch and add-on will just be a free download?
