I'm flying the JABO campaign with the Emil 7B, and I would like to know something. Is there anyone else who has such a hard time shooting anything with those freaking nose mounted MG's. I mean just 10 min ago, I was shooting a truck with them and it wouldn't even blow http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif. Pretty bizarre. Are they undermodeled or what??

Its fairly well known that the bullets have to hit the target for any damage to be delivered

have you played the original il2, or early FB?
i dont think so because then you wouldnt complain about how the Mg17s are today http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
well theyre not very strong, its only 7,92mm, and theyre synchronized with the prop, so lower ROF. theyre ok to me. you have lots of ammo anyway, and theyre pretty accurate.
i even shot a hurricane (ok not the toughtest plane) with the two Mg17 on my Stuka aflame recently online http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

You see,it aint the symbol that is the problem, its what it stood for that is an issue. If we erased all from history that we now find ofensive, there would be not much history

i have no problem with swastikas.
i have no problem with history, i see it from a very objective point of view. im very interested in it too.
you see im german, and here everything german that has to do with the time from 1933-1945 or WW2 is political incorrect. its my way to handle this ignorance.

Next we must BAN pubic pics of spiral galaxies.

Don't laugh, they already BAN pics taken by astronomer Halton Arp showing interactions between low redshift galaxies and high redshift quasars. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif When the dude kept taking these pics, they fired his butt from Mt. Palomar.

getting back on topic

i have shot the wing off an IL2 using just the mg's in an emil so they do work if you hit the right spots.. you just need to pound things from up close

just remember that in real life a WWII truck with a canvas back is a very basic thing .. it could be punched full of holes and still drive .. the crew would just dive for cover and if the radiator wasnt stuffed or the fuel tank did not blow they would just get back in and keep driving
