OK, one of my little observations as I play.
I`m playing Ruskies in Lagg3 at Peasant-rank.
Anyway, was flying in formation as no.4. We were `wide` escort of an eight escort crew, We heard the close escort crew taking on bfs around the bombers. We still kept flying on too far to do anything. Suddenly I heard shooting the no2 plane exploded. We were attacked by BFs which had come from high and shot below us!
What surprised me was the fact that to that point our lead AI never reacted (normally AI always know when enemys near). I was also shot up and eventually shot down in flames. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I`ve been set on a SOLO mission to destroy a German Observation balloon. Was this in before the patch. It`s completely new to me. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Noone seems to have noticed map coordinates which will be very useful for full real map navigation. Cool idea.

More observations later...
