I suppose you know if you have been submerged too long by the crew around you dying?
I have never played a sub game, nor a naval game, nor, in fact, a war game before. In fact I don't know why I ordered it but since I have only a 25% chance of surviving it is o.k. if I get killed early on?

U-Boat commanders had a 75% chance of surviving, because they were usually promoted to staff or training positions after 10 to 15 front patrols. The men serving under them weren't so lucky.

I sure hope the game is realistic in this regard. I just don't think it will be possible to survive if you're forced to do more patrols than the historical commanders were asked to do.

If you stay submerged to long and your crew do start dying just send them up top.

Don't surface though, just send em on look out duty while you're 30m down, they love it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I think these guys have gills or something.

Yes, I did see the screenies with the guys 'breathing' underwater http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
