Came across this site listing the top 100 a/c produced during WW2, http://www.tsj.net/avstats/aircraftproductb.html

Interesting is the Yakovlev Yak-1/Yak-3/Yak-7/Yak-9 was produced in more numbers than the 109.

Also interesting that #54, the Hawker Tempest/Typhoon were actually built in the USSR http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Must have been some kind of reverse lend/lease thingy http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

I thought 39,000 109's were built and more than 40,000 IL2's?

They should really seperate those planes out, the P39 and 63 are not the same, neither is the Tempest and Typhoon, apart from the power plant and cockpit, there completely different and not bloody Russian!
