Could Assassin's Creed 2 already be doomed?

None of the original creative team behind it has voiced any intrest in coming back for the sequel. Like Prince of Persia, it's likely that Patrice and the rest of the Ubi Montreal will go on to their next project.

Jade Raymond has voiced that it would be hard for her to walk away from this franchise, but she's the producer. While her role as the Final Line is incredibly important, Patrice and his team were the real creative directors behind how amazing the game was.

PoP: Warrior within was a good game. But it wasn't as GOOD as Sands of Time: the much loved main character got an unwelcome emo makeover, the emphasis was much more on combat and while the Prince came through it intact, something very special was missing.

Can AC survive development by another team. Can it hold on to that elusive quality that makes it what it is without Patrice and his team?

I don't begrudge the man time with his daughter. But come AC2, I want him back.

What if a fire burnt down Ubisoft Montreal during the making of AC2?
What if lightning hit the graveyard next door and zombies came out and ate all their brains!

AC2 SURELY IS DOOMED

Ha! kew!

But I know what you mean Dreamer...

Especially since the game is so open.
There are so many possibilities for the sequel, makes me worry about a sudden change in plan...

That was not emo; emo would be the character acting like a *****, crying all over the place, feeling sad, lonely, acting like a gay would.

I think Warrior Within is pretty badass.

This isn't all bad news. I read that Ubi might work cooperatively and let Eidos use some of it's depht for the next Deus Ex game.

Don't worry though, this game will be much better than the second and at least close to the first as possible.
