well it all starts with a trip to the shop for ( you guessed ) f/b+aep..that was 4 months ago in which time i've grabbed the skins, marveled at forums pages, sought hints and tips galore and even started ( tentatively ) to skin my own a/c... i got the game running sweet as a nut, no more stutters and theni saw about the new drivers for ati cards ( yes , unfortunately ) mine being a 9200 (256) so i went and got them, installed them....then the sound stopped working ( ok fixable ), the game was lagging big time, was a bit like geriatric shrew with a parkinsons!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif ( NO OFFENCE ).so here comes the rollback ( decided to do a full rollback of system... ) 3 times back n forth...NOW i think it's in a state of impatience with me ( likes to crash or lock up ) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif and i seem to have less space on h/d than before which is now affecting game play..( any ideas on this?? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif)....( i took fb/aep off eventually )it seems there's still a prob withthe ati card i think but cant seem to pin it down...( any ideas???..) and as all stories have a moral i suppose i should end with...and listen up you novices like me http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif( IF IT AIN'T BROKE ...DON'T FIX IT!........ any suggestions will be greatly recieved.... thank you all for the stuff that worked http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif

I don't like rollbacks, I'd reformat and start fresh... like a rebuilt engine instead of a scrapyard boat anchor. But first try somes older drivers ..see if it helps.

System restore has a default capacity of something over 2GB. It will keep filling up to this limit. You can change the size of system restore, turn it off (not recommended) or delete all but the most recent save point from the second page of disc cleanup application. Do you have a sound card installed? Settings of these can make a huge difference to framerates. Experiment with audio hardware acceleration settings in the dxdiag facility.
