Im currently flying J8A in a Finnish campaign 1941 and Im surprised at my results so far I thought I would have a lower kill ration but still theres a couple of things (anomalies) I noticed that peeps havent mentionned yet cuz mainly they're too busy whining about the .50 and German planes not being good enough:

1. no overheating even at 110% for 20 minutes

2. for some reason the plane seems at its best between 4000m and 5000m....is that accurate???

3. theres something odd about the throttle, when you are at 80%, it feels like if you were at 50%, the engine sounds almost like if it was about to cut and you can barely reach 230 kmh in level flight...

thats it

3 - it's the fixed prop. The faster you are the higher it revs. That's probably why we never reach the climb rate which is shown in Il-2 Compare.

Dont forget about the fuel mixture control for those higher altitudes. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
