Hi all!

I've trying playing online for some time, and I can't fly well the Ki-43 II... the Ki-43 I is very easy to fly, but I can't seem to fare as well with the II! It's not much faster and can't seem to turn so well.
Any tips would be helpful! Thanks!

To fly any japanse planes well you need to watch out first for the RADIATOR. I fly the Japanase planes with OPEN radiator and BOOST on to avoid overheating.

To win in the Hayabusa, you need to be fairly high above 3.5k meters so you can dive and build your speed. Don't fly this plane low because it take forever to climb. AT least the Ki-43 II handles much better than the Ki-43 with better crosshair and visibility.

Climb is one of it's greatest strengths! It will outclimb any American aircraft, even the P-38. The Ki-43 can maintain nearly a 40 degree climb angle and it's climb rate is phenomenal. I don't remember the best speed for the best climb rate though.

Wrong is what she is like.

There was very little difference in turn ability from Ki43 I to Ki43 II, but in the sim the II is twitchy on the limit and has the famous "slip on a banana peel" departure model formerly reserved only for US types.

The II should be the better Hayabusa overall, but the I is better in the sim.

Like a very light and less powerful Reisen. She climbs OK but not a real climber like a G2 but she feels more agile but with flexibility in a dogfight than a Reisen.

Thanks for the answers! I didn't know that there is a difference in the flight model that makes the ki-43 II harder to dogfight than the model I. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I feel that the Ki-43-II while being agile fighter is quite worse mount than the planes you will fly against such are P-38, P-47, F6F... therefore you will have to have a moment of surprise on your side or face unskilled enemy pilots in order to succeed or... live if you will http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif .

If you fly above your enemy the Ki-43 II has a chance but you have to be very skilled to pull it off and know WHEN to turn and time your dives and VERY CLOSE angle attacks.

Afterall it is easier to use the gunsight of the ki-43 II http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Its top speed is low and its armament is on the very weak side, but it is definitely a joy to fly.
