Very Good New series using COmputer GEnerated and Real Footage to describe the battle and the build up to the battle. Wildcats and Zeros

Can the Yanks get BBC2 as we get it here?

Pah , you're just a WW2 trainspotter, do you have a yellow anorak and a little book to mark mistakezs?? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif (only joking)

I thought it was pretty good.

The CGI was there to show the movements, not get every mark of plane and ship correct.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Don't think so (usually just BBCA), but Military Channel carries 20th Century Battlefields. I thought the Falklands one was pretty good, mainly because I never knew much about it.

I thought they made a pretty good fist of it and D. Snow's exploration of damage control and the heroic efforts of the Yorktown's crew at the Coral Sea was above and beyond what you'd normally expect.

Looking forward to Stalingrad next week.

I get BBC. Not sure if it is 2 or not. I'd like to know when they are going to air this.

I like the series, it's very good. I saw the Midway one recently, and I've also seen the Falkands and Battle of Britain episodes. Yeah, Military Channel airs it here in the U.S., and I saw the BoB one on the local PBS station.

Military Channel used to be Discovery Wings here. The good part is that they still show the best of the old Wings shows like Wings of the Luftwaffe and Wings of the Red Star. The bad part is that these usually air at 3 A.M. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Yeah, we just got Military Channel when we upgraded our DirecTV subscription, so I've been watching it alot. I've seen quite a few of the old "Wings" episodes that I missed when they first aired and I didn't have cable. Quite a few other documentaries that I had never seen as well. Between that and the two History Channels I get to really geek out on WWII stuff. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thats right, it was Wings, not Civilistation.

Hope they change our Wings to Military too, I'm not really into all the Gliding and Commercial air stuff.

The worlds biggest Airliners - Yawn.
