You need to convert the skin from 24bit to 8 bit. You should have utility for this built into photoshop but there is a program called "Bright" that does the same job without distortion of the skin. Unfortunately I don't have a link but if you send me a PT with an e-mail address I'd be happy to send it along.

because it is probably saving it in 32 bit colors......Although you can save it to 8bit/256 colors with photoshop, I'd suggest getting a great little program the folks at IL2 Skins turned me onto called "Bright" which will save the colors more accurately.

You can get it here... http://www.planetunreal.com/fordy/bright.htm Including I believe a PS plug in though have heard you get better results as a stand alone...(I use the plug in and can't tell the diff. from 32bit color)

you also need to watch the overall size of the file. If it is too big, it won't show up (been there done that http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif).

A 1024*1024 .bmp image saved at 256bit colour depth will always be almost exactly 1Mb.

If it's anything different you've done something wrong - most likey as LEBillfish suggests - saved in the wrong color depth.
