I downloaded the mission generator (that comes with BoE?)some time ago but within a very short period of time it corrupted AEP. I had to can the lot and start all over again(without the new mission generator).
Q1. Does BoE automatically load the new campaign generator and does it come with understandable instructions?
Q2. With the new campaign generator loaded does this allow existing campaigns on AEP to continue under the existing campaign generator or does everything take on the new format?
I would dearly like to purchase BoE but am a bit hesitant after past experiences with loading non ubisoft add ons to both IL2 and FB(AEP).
Has anyone else experienced any corruption problems with this add on?

My copy of BOE installed fine too.

You do mean Battle Over Europe from JustFlight correct ? I'm asking because this BOE is a third-party product, yes, but developed by some Forgotten Battles team members. As such, it should not have a separate campaign generator because it uses the generator that comes with FB and AEP.

Guys,

Just received BoE and installed over AEP v2.01. Also installed RAF update and night skins add-on.

The only campaigns available to me are the ones advertised with the RAF update, i.e. the Me-163, Bf-110 and "night Bomber" campaigns for the Luftwaffe, the P-38 and P-51NT-20A campaigns for the USAAF, and the Spitfire campaigns for the RAF.

Do I need to uninstall the RAF update to play the original Luftwaffe and USAAF campaigns?

Appreciate help - I tried to post in the Just Flight forum, but the password they e-mailed me doesn't seem to work, lol! I'm probably doing womething wrong.

Thanks,

Russkly

Had the same problem but mine was the RAF campaign not showing up.
The only way I got it to register the RAF was to do a complete fresh install of FB/AEP.

You are going to enjoy it. Glad I bought it.

Thanks for your input, chaps. I've also posted now on the Just Flight forum (it was, as suspected, my error that wouldn't allow me to login, lol!), so I'll post any feedback here too.

Mads - I was afraid someone was going to say that! I've got a fairly well-advanced Battle of Britain campaign (Extreme_one's version) that I'd hate to lose. Stupid question, but how do you save campaign files when uninstalling?

Like your CTRL+E bad pilots reference! Seems a habitual key stroke combination on War Clouds!

Hold fire before you uninstall. Someone here might have an answer & hopefully we will both learn something that could save us alot of bother in future.

The last time I tried saving a campaign I made a pigs ear of it & lost a 60+ He111 campaignhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
So I'm going to keep my mouth shut a try & learn from the wise ones here.

If you want to save an existing campaign before a fresh install - backup your "users" folder and you'll be A-OK http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Thx as ever, Extreme_One.

Will try that, but it seems odd that so many people are experiencing campaign issues with BoE/AEP/RAF Update. Shame.

Enjoying your BoB campaign by the way, although those He-111s are tricky customers (as expounded in a separate thread recently).

NP mate.

I'm having no problems with BoE + AEP + 2.0* patch) apart from tearing myself away from my BoE Spitfire campaign and getting the rest of my own camopaign finished. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Dunno if this helps but I did it the following way:

FB -->AEP-->2.01-->BOE-->RAF Update

and have not had any problems at all

I didn't have any problems with the install of BoE, but my D-Day campaign (RAF and USAAF) is a slide-show, and a slow one at that (around 5 FPS). Anyone else having this problem, or sorted it?

I hate missions with air starts, so that's the Paving The Way campaign out as far as I'm concerned, which for RAF doesn't leave me a right lot, other than the Bastoigne and that map's just too small http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Well, problem solved, but it took an uninstall followed by a re-install of FB, BoE, AEP, patch 2.01 & then BoE RAF Update.

Really like the missions, and the presence of the roster is welcome for immersion purposes (ahame it doesn't feature in Extreme_One's RAF Full campaign).

Less concerned about air starts - usually fly autopilot to frontline after taking off manually anyway. Very lazy, I know!
