okay, so I first downloaded il-2 sturmovik's demo - and loved it - especially the tracers!

Then I bought the 1946 compilation and to my dismay they are not there! Is there some switch or setting that I'd need to change, or have the newer versions of the game cut out this awesome feature? thanx

Created a shortcut in the General Discussion forum seeing as there wasn't a response as of yet. When it comes to computer issues or game playing issue, the Community Help forum is the place to post. Anything else, these m8s that hang over here are the m8s to ask.

The StarWars-Blaster-Tracers are still in the game. It just depends a lot on what plane you fly, as the used phosphor in this game glows in different colors, depending an caliber and nation.

Just like in StarWars. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

It proves that the US are the good guys and the russians were the "Evil Empire". The Empire used green tracers and Rebels used red. Thus the P-51 won the war.

Slightly confusing question.

I have bought 1946 and all the usual tracers are there. Are you flying a different aircraft to what you`re used to as all have different tracers, some have very little. Are your graphic settings different to your previous install? Perhaps you need to change those settings in game or in the config. ini.

I'm guessing, he's talking about haveing a hard time seeing them, I've never flown in combat, but I have trouble seeing them too, I always believed they were for better visual tracking, in the sim, they seem to disappear before they reach the aircraft, even at close range, flashes are the only way you can tell if you get a hit. I have good graghics, but a 17 inch screen, I just figured that was why! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif
