Hi,

I just thought you guys would be interested in seeing the work of an aviation artist I recently discovered.

His name is Dan Zoernig and he produces aviation artwork, all of which is created digitally... pixels instead of pigment.

Check out his web site and see what you think:

My personal favourite is "Vertical Duel
at Angels 33".

Anyway, see what you think!

Cheers,

Derek.

My favourite is the Jake. That was one of my most hoped for types when PF was announced.

Hi Feathered,

Yes, the Jake is very nice too... but in the end I've decided to buy "Vertical Duel
at Angels 33", because it depicts a dogfight involving Col. "Bud" Anderson of the 357th Fighter Group, flying his "Old Crow".

I own his book "To Fly and Fight", and I had the good fortune of meeting the man himself at an airshow a few years ago!

Anyway, can't wait for the print to arrive!

Cheers,

Derek.

Seems he likes to have canopies open on most of his planes, even in teh midst of combat. The one with the SBDs coming out of a dive and the zeros behind them is the one I am talking about, everyone's canopy is just open. ALso when the one SBD is hitting that small vessel, its canopy is open. Now I don't really know how it all happened in the event the attacks, but I can tell you that my canopy would be closed for sure as I was in combat.
