Translation: Ah, geez loueeze or Give me a break, or Are you friggin kidding me?

Just got back in town and find the boards in somewhat of an uproar. Draconian measures being implemented, threats being made, fear of posting one's thoughts running rampant. Guys, guys, guys. Take it easy mates. Get back on track, post what you desire (I'm confindent the mods will let ya know if ya cross he line) and enjoy the conversation/arguments that make this site what it is.

For the mods, if I may. A little re-assurance that you will not ban, ostracize, or kidnap the pets of those that may utter the piracy word or attempt to discuss adverse matters of PF would go a long way in stemming the flood of fear that has some posters muy paranoid.

Cya round the lobby all.

I have to agree with you willyvic. I found some of the threads and comments very right wing. Since I use both wings to fly, I would like to see a little more balance exhibited.

I would really like to see Oleg and others make money from these games. I have always felt we get too much free stuff that would be charged for by any other business. Illegal copies are part of the cost of doing business IMHO and will be around for a while longer. The cost of non-legal copies should be reflected in the pricing of the legitimate product.

I was wondering if there should be a charge for the planes in the patches made available, these could be d/l...but all the FM changes given away for free(as they are), maybe this would encourage 1c to give us the planes that have been modelled and are ready(or nearing)...SEE HERE (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=23110283&m=5421028822&r=5951079822#5951079822) ..this would possible encourage more models...and 1c and the modellers get paid.

I must also say that i have paid for every game 1c have made...but i came about IL2Sturmovik via a demo copy a friend gave me..so maybe this is a sign of how popular the IL2 series are becoming and those who are real sim fans will buy it the others wouldnt anyway...and we all know demos never really give you the full game experience...i and many others have spent lots of money on games that didnt deliver what they promised in the demo...but in any case for those who do use pirated copies Ubi/1c are going to have to increase security for their products...is there a way of not allowing updates(patches) for illegal copies?....just a thought?
