Scotch is the water of life, a broth, and a sticky tape. Scots are a people. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

In Australia, much is made of St. Patrick's Day but you hear very little about St. Andrew's Day. This is not due to a shortage of Scottish migrants, as we have plenty of them as well! Not too sure what the reason is.

Guiness marketing and the dominance of American culture (in this case acting as prism through which St. Patrick's day is viewed). We don't really celebrate St. George's day here in England, but we'll drink green stout and wear silly hats on March 17th, just like everyone else.
