Hello all,

Being such a pro at carrier landings in Pacific Fighters, I decided to make a short instructional video in the hopes that I can help and inspire others to the same level of excellence I've attained.

You can view it here (http://davidtitus.free.fr/video/datter_howto_carrierlanding.mov) in Quicktime format (20mbs or so ...right click save as).

Enjoy using the datter method!

Any landing you can walk away from etc... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
Datter='ol Warbirds handle?

Seriously, regarding landings - I prefer to turn in a lot earlier - to have that bank all the way until short final - then you see the CV easier all the way imho.

Also found this landing-tutorial by Dart www.darts-page.com/movies2.htm (http://www.darts-page.com/movies2.htm) he also turns in a bit late imho...having that long straight final where you don't see **** http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

yep, started WB in 1999 but haven't flown it now for a good couple of years. Think I'll stick with PF for the next while. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I can land my Seafire everytime but nigh on 50% of my F4U landings result in going around again after missing the wires for some reason.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that perfect water - I want it so...but my Fx5800 just won't deliver it to me...will have to wait until BoB makes me buy a whole new game machine ( oops I mean a PC for my growing business...)
I have a lot of experience with this view of the deack after landing ...also dramatic views of the bow of the carrier bearing down on me....

Ah yes, more ol' Warbirds Alumni http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Roybaty AKA Roybty back in the day.

Hehehehe, I myself have pretty much mastered landing the F4F, F6F, and the Zekes. Just had a go at the D3, very wobbly aircraft, but I snagged a wire nonetheless 'cause I'm just that good http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif.
