I thought this was kind of cool. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y192/velcro_fly/B-24.jpg

Here is what I found about it on the Yahoo website:

This image provided by the U.S. Postal Service shows a stamp featuring the B-24 Liberator heavy bomber 'Black Cat', one of ten 37-cent stamps scheduled to be issued Friday, July 29, 2005. The Black Cat was the last B-24 bomber shot down over Europe during World War II.

I'm not a stamp collector, but that one might be a keeper!

I just checked on the entire series. It's called "Advances in Aviation" or something like that. It's an interesting series, with a mix of civil, military and test aircraft. It also has a Hellcat, B-29, Jug and Shooting Star among planes also in the game.

Expensive, but the best money you'll ever spend if you love warbirds. Plus, it helps them keep it going.

The flight is truly awesome.

You must mean the Chicago area then Badabboom.1?

If you are talking about the tour at Dupage Airport, that 24 is the same as visited us last year painted as the "Dragon's Tale". My pal at work went over for the walkthroughs yesterday and told me that there is a Vet who actually served in the war on a 24 that is "On the tour" and supervised the re-painting details so that it matched the bird of his old unit.
Good for that old flyer.
