http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gifIt won't be known until nearer the time and hopefully there's always a nice surprise or two.Keep an eye on this site, they are the guys that organise and operate the majority of the aircraft involved.
I do believe the cover on the advert for it has 2 x Gladiators on it,so fingers crossed. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'm off to the Waddington air show and the Vulcan will be there (barring any possible unseen future circumstances) and I must admit to looking forwards to seeing the old girl again http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/inlove.gif
I remember not so much the sound of the engines but the feel of the engines (full body resonance)

I live in Canada too!

But last year I went over to Duxford for the weekend. Left Friday, came back Monday. Airshow Saturday, RAF Museum at Hendon Sunday (also outstanding). In between, beer, parties with squad m8s, steak and kidleys and exciting bar maids.

One of the best weekends I ever had and inexpensive. Charter flight over, taxi service by m8s and 3 nights at the Red Lion Duxford @ quid 70 per night. I have stayed at the Chateau Champlain or the Ritz Carleton for a lot more.

I also met a lot of il2 Forum guys like Uther and Stathem.

It just takes commitment and a little bit of cash. Do it m8. I can hook you up with a bunch of very fine people.

There's one moron I know who's flying all the way from Victoria, BC for the show...

Well, okay...for the booze, but I hear there be planes as well.

I think there will be about 10 Dogz there this year again...and lots of community members.

You could catch a train from Stansted airport to Bishops Stortford, change at Bishops Stortford and catch a train to Cambridge and get off at Whittlesford Station.Duxford is about 1 to 2 miles walk from the station. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

We have had one of our Canadian squad mates here for 2 years running.
The downside here at the moment is the cost of the pound,it is really expensive over here at the moment. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Thanks for that information trumper. The Red Lion, where I was staying, was about 50 yards away from Whittlesford train station.

B16Enk was going to pick me up at Stansted but there was a bad accident that morning and the motorway was closed. B16 had me paged at Stansted and advised me to take a taxi to the Red Lion. He took me back to Stansted for my return flight so I rationalized the one way taxi ride. He also took us all down to the RAF Museum on the Sunday and held a party at his house on the Saturday evening after the air show.

Just a great "flying" visit. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I read in the news section in this month's Flypast magazine that the B-17 Liberty Belle WILL be flying across the Atlantic to feature at Flying Legends.

Does anyone know of any other confirmations (i'm sure the Vulcan is only a rumour ATM)???

What would be the chances of seeing a 109 there? Actually, are there any flying 109s ATM (not Buchons) seeing as 'Black 6', 'Red 7' and now 'Black 2' are out of action?
