My specs:

Amd 3200+ 2.2Ghz
1 gig ram
GCard Integrated 128 MB Nvidia 6100

I am quite certain this needs an upgrade,
but what would you recommend as being most important?
And: What graphic card is best for IL2 series?

I read Ati for better quality,
Nvidia for better speed.

I don't know, I hope you can give me some ideas....
Thx

I would suggest a better video card. Integrated video is never ideal for gaming.

Your system could be much better for little cash. A 7600GT off of ebay will run less than $100 and be a big improvement. Socket 939 processors can be had for cheap as well, ebay or retailers like Newegg. If I were you, I'd start with a video upgrade and then think about your processor, though a 7600GT would work well with your 3200. What motherboard are you using? Ask Quazi and the crew over at Community Help.

A new videocard is a good midlife update in your case. Gives you eye-candy graphics and nice looking water in IL-2 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Dunno the pros and cons of ATI and Nvidia though.
I'm an ATI user, and I'm very pleased with it!
You can find 512mB for less than $100.

Assuming that it's socket 939 there are a lot of better processors for much cheaper. Do you know what kind of slot you have for videocard, PCI-E or AGP, either way you cannot go wrong with an X1950? I would upgrade video card, then cpu, then get another gig of ram to top it all off.

Yep I'd suggest upgrading the video card and holding out on the rest because its otherwise a very decent older system.

If you waiting for Storm of War and want to play that. I'd say tough it out and then upgrade after that comes out.

Is it an AMD 64 or an Athlon XP 3200+?

A new graphics card is a must for a cheap upgrade. What you have at the moment is not really a graphics card, its onboard graphics which uses system RAM.

You can pick up 7900GS for very cheap prices at the moment, mine was 60. Make sure you have a PCI-E slot, although you can still pick up decent AGP cards too.
