It was I http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

They were flying out of a local field a few weeks ago, and I decided to suck it up, pay the money and go up!!!

W0000H000!! It was awesome. Much smoother than I expected in an old aircraft. I was so excited I was standing when we landed http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif

Attaching some pictures!

Pretty cool. Nine O Nine's a cool bird. Taking that trip is a lot of money for a half hour flight, though. But it's a rare chance so I'm sure it's worth it.

Lucky guy.

As to the party, do I get off at Tor Road or Elm Street (if I'm coming from California)?

I considered flying in the Nine O' Nine. Did you by chance see it at the airport in Fairfield NJ? My father and I toured it there Thursday along with a B-24. It's the same plane; I think it's headed to Maryland now then finishing for the year in South Carolina (they fly 10 1/2 months a year the crew told me. And $3000 an hour to fly it! Sheesh!)

Amazing planes. The B-17 could be the most beautiful plane I've seen. How those crews did what they did in them I'll never understand!

I told myself if it comes around again I'm spending the 400 bucks and flying in it!

Going to see a B-17 and I think a B-24 at Martin State air port tomorrow.

Got a call today that a B-17 was landing there.

Those are the same ones that took off today from Caldwell airport.

BTW, the B-17 was nuked three times in 1952 (date may be a tad off) before 'cooling down' and being restored. That kinda freaked me out; nuclear anything scares the bejeezus out of me.

I fixed them to be direct links for ya. Since your web space won't let you host them as Images.

Looks like alot of fun for sure. Green with envy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Great pics Mike. ~S!~

I was up in Yankee Lady in 2002. I know yer walking on air after your ride, as I was. It was the best 400 bucks I've ever spent. There is no thrill like sitting in the bombardier's seat. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif The good thing tho is not dropping any bombs or seeing what the bombardiers did during WWII. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Saw the same planes in Baltimore.
Got to crawl around in both of them. Felt cramped and creepy standing in the top turent of the B-17.
