Arite i watched the X06 demo a couple of months Back
and i noticed the part where altair strikes The Wooden Beam and creates a baricade.
I noticed that was a little simple,
attack Beam
and The rest comes down animation style.

Now i'm thinkin That a game this realistic
should use the Euphoria Physics engine.

I cant explain how the engine works
so i'm gonna show you guys a video
Euphoria (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bKphY***-M)

the two games there are the new Indiana Jones game
and the new Star Wars game.

It would be great if the physics would be that realistic

Heh, when the video started I was confused, like "He wants the wooden beam to act more like indiana jones?" but then I figured it out with the wood and stuff, and it was awesome. I really think AC could benefit from some physics like this. I don't think the physics should take over the game, but I think its pretty cool.

You think they'll change the physics engine after 4 (or is it 5 already?) years of development? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

will be 5 years when they complete the game at the 3:d or 4:th quarter of 2007.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/agreepost.gif it woulden't do any good to change the physics now...but i agree that they were really good

copyright is a great "symbol" they will problably use on the physics program http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif

For a free-roaming game like AC, that will put too much strain on the processor(s) to pull it off, but for more closed off games it would be great to add.

That's sooo sweet. I would love that in Assassin's Creed. It's way too late for them to use that engine. Maybe in a sequel.

Well its probably too late now.
But personally i'm liking this engine more than Havok.
and I hope other games use it

They will probably put it in Assassins 2 or 3 rather that take another year to change the engine.

if you have a allredy working game engine (AC1) you can'tjust build a new one that fits to AC. they will problably use the same game engine to the other games if they don't have another "job" in the otehr games ( like the futuristic settings)

allmost the same things you say now have been mentioned allredy

both react with predefined animation...
with euphoria.. it's not a predefined animation, the character is given an order like "balance" then the character try to balance himself...
www.naturalmotion.com (http://www.naturalmotion.com) are the guys behind euphoria...

I'm no computer engineer, but to me, that euphoria engine sounds like mad CPU usage whenever dang near anything happens

why is the title "havok" i know the havok engine is used in the source games (HL2 and CSS) so what is Euphoria?
