Since the search function is currently not working on the forums I was wondering if anybody who uses the Thrustmaster Afterburner II HOTAS has their settings mapped and can post them here?Seems with the new IL-2/PF flight model I cant strafe as accurately as I used to and the rudder is very touchy and jerky.

Thanks for any help.

Boy oh boy not one person uses the thrustmaster afterbuner II around here? Not all of us can afford X52's and CH products right now and this is a reliable and solid HOTAS for now.http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
At any rate I think I have fixed it a bit in mapping but would still like to see a fellow users setting for this stick in PF.

Got the same stick, yep you just have to keep tweaking. I've got rudder inputs at about 50% of the default setting except for the last one which is 100 (need this for taxiing) This works pretty well. X & Y are around 80% & 70% give or take a bit, makes for long travel & heavy throws but seems to be showing some productive results. Y still needs more fixing...

I have one, and it's a great stick for the price, but I'm only using the throttle at moment... I demand ffb.

I found these to be quite helpful when I first set mine up...(c + p from airwarfare.com), but I lowered the first couple down... more like

5 11 22 38 57... etc. Takes on a logarithm sort of curve.

crazyivan1970:
Roll: 27 38 52 63 69 75 83 88 93 100
Pitch: 28 44 55 62 70 79 88 93 96 100
Yaw: 29 40 48 57 66 76 86 93 95 100 plus 7 deadband.

Hunter82
Roll: 13 21 28 39 53 65 77 88 96 100
Pitch: 22 28 37 45 54 65 77 88 97 100
Yaw: 35 41 48 56 67 76 82 89 95 100

If you have the wobble issue that many seem to with 4.02, there's a heap of threads in GD to look at.

I have an Afterburner II, I think it's the best of the cheapie sticks. I'm not at my simming rig at the moment, so I can't post my conf.ini, but I can confirm what some of the others have said about the rudder-give it a little deadband and set the sensitivity kind of low. Helped me a lot.
