Totally did not see this coming. Nope, not at all.

Kidding, of course. At least it's only a month delay as opposed to previous ones (AC1 - 5 months, AC2 - 4 months, AC:B - 4 months).

Who didn't see this coming? Well apart from UbiGabe (lol) They have to polish the game after all...:roll Just like all the others they delayed.
Why cant they simply be honest and say pc is lower priority than the console releases and get finished last? Its is obviously he truth. the console code is done first then its given to the pc guys after. It will always have a latter finish date. Honestly stating that might help, everyone knew there would be a delay its ubisoft and a pc version, so ubi stating it will release after the console versions from the start would save them the bad pr this will cause.

Im glad its only a few weeks delay this time, but honestly if we can see it coming you cant tell me they didn't.

This was expected. I am totally NOT surprised. At least it's only an extra month (and still in time for xmas)

Good thing I haven't actually pre-ordedered the animus edition yet (gonna do it this weekend)

Oh, and Derfy2, the PC versions of AC2 and ACB were both delayed 6 months, not 4 (Not sure about AC1, didn't get that until just before AC2 came out)

I think the thing that angers me the most about the potential delay (potential since they didn't receive a reply from Ubisoft UK yet (it only says they've contacted them), according to the article at the time of this post) is the flip-flopping. A week ago, Ubisoft UK confirmed there would be no delay (http://www.xboxgamezone.co.uk/2011/09/21/no-pc-delay-for-assassins-creed-revelations-says-ubisoft-uk/).

So perhaps they meant a delay for the Czech region for some reason, since they got it from the Czech Facebook page? The official one (https://www.facebook.com/assassinscreed?sk=wall) mentions nothing at the time of this post.

I guess I just wish that if it is going to be delayed, don't string us along for another week. Just be honest.

You know what, I was actually expecting this.
This is why I bought my PS3. Ubi is not the only developer putting the PC releases last or even ignoring PC gamers altogether (let's look on the positive side and assume the delay is for graphics and gameplay improvements). But in all seriousness, PC gamers have been getting the short end of the stick for years now.

Oh, and is this official? Nevertheless I'm sad to hear this; such last-minute delays only alienate one of the largest (if not the largest) sector of gamers. *shakes head sadly*

I'm honestly surprised here... I thought their "secret" deal with console makers means that the PC version needs to be released at least half a year later. Unless it's just the first fake delay...

I guess we all just have to wait for official word from Ubisoft. This is the state of play so far! (http://www.xboxgamezone.co.uk/2011/09/29/assassins-creed-revelations-pc-delay-finally-confirmed-timeline-of-events/)

this was the "excuse" used for the 4/5 months delay for ACB, if they needed 4/5 months to do this with ACB, I don't think in less than a month this will be possible for ACR...

It already has been confirmed..

Link from actual credible source:

Kotaku as a credible source = http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

The amount of misinformation and heresay that they print as fact is laughable.

Anyway, we can only wait for an official confirmation of a delay from EMEA, before you all get your pitchforks out.

I'm actually very happy about this.

Most of us knew it was going to get delayed even if we couldn't accept it.

It's just 2 - 3 weeks after the console release, not freaking 5 months again.

That's a great improvement, Ubisoft.

How about Joystiq, then?

http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09...ntil-december-on-pc/ (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/29/assassins-creed-revelations-delayed-until-december-on-pc/)

"Official statement from Ubisoft to Joystiq: "Assassin's Creed Revelations will launch on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 15 and PC in December."

Note that they don't even say "December 2nd", it could be the end of the month for all we know.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a formal confirmation of this by Ubisoft on these forums or the official site. They like to do these things on the downlow via other game informer sites and hope the fans won't make a fuss.

I'm more inclined to believe Joystiq than Kotaku. I never said the actual news was wrong. Just that Kotaku as a credible source was a laughable prospect. I wouldn't be surprised if they never even got any confirmation from ubisoft in the first place (it has happened many times before). I know Joystiq have close links with Ubi. We'll probably know today for sure either way.

Thing is, i'm sure we will get another delay, in the past when they delayed they said it's for improvement of the PC port, but lets all say that the PC ports always had low optimization...

I honestly really hope it's true that December is the new release date, but the way Ubisoft is so secretive about it, i can't believe it... we will see another delay to March.

This is just to lure pre-orders.

Don't forget they'll **** up on launch day too, so you won't be playing on the day you should be playing.

December, hmm. I am TOTALLY shocked! Oh well, if it does make that release date, perhaps I'll be finished with Skyrim and ready to give it a try by then.

THIS!!! This, this this!!! But there's no way you could finish it that fast (unless you did a speedrun). I have 200+ hrs in Oblivion alone!

On Topic: Kotaku is not a reliable source. But since Ubi has finally confirmed the delay, I guess they were right. I would not be surprised if, come late November, ACR's PC release date is pushed into 2012... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Finish? No, not a chance. However, I'll have 3 weeks between Nov 11th and Dec 2nd, and I'll probably be able to get through the first main quest by then. I can come back later and do a bunch of side quests or new characters. I don't want to even think about how many hours I have sunk into Oblivion and Morrowind.

At least the PC version of LA Noire has been confirmed for the first third of November, so I'll have something to play until ACR comes out...

Very disappointed about the delay, but what can I do. Means having to avoid AC communities for a number of weeks to avoid spoilers after the console release again, which is always a pain.

Aah darn, I might pick this up instead of pre-ordering ACR, I didn't know it was due this year.
