Perhaps I'm being naive but where in Michigan is it? I went to an airshow at Muskegon in 2000 and so far it's the best airshow I've yet been too. I'm from England by the way and don't often get to go to the US. Airshows over here are comparatively lame these days.

That's Ed Russell's genuine 109E that flew in the BoB.

It's in the suburbs of Detroit. Van Buren, Michigan.

Thanks for the warm comments all!

Fighterduck, I used shutter priority(and I let the camera worry about the aperture, as you pan your lighting will be different) , for the props no higher then 1/250, I believe on some of them, I went a little lower 1-180 to 1/160 to really try to get the prop to blur. But you may have camera shake at those settings. But you can get it fairly clear with practice. Took about 3 airshows for me to get the hang of it.

For the Jets, 1/500 or higher. Most of the time I used 1/750. The faster they move the higher you'll want your shutter, from what I read, no higher then 1/1000.

Here's a few sites that helped me.

Anymore questions feel free to ask(or PM me), I'll try my best. I'm still new to this hobby, about 6 months or so.
