We got a lot of planes used in Korea with Fb & PF

F80
Yak´s
La 11 ( i think easy to realised )
Tu2
Il10 ( we also need that in FB !)
Mustang
Spitfire
Corsair in PF

someone had just to create the other Jets ( Panther, Sabre, Mig´s,) and an Korea Map, and their we go

And I would pay for that ! ( but not 40 bucks ;D )

FB is a ww2 sim, and Oleg and his team have cut down on sleep, foodbrakes, P-brakes and even sleep on the factory floor so they will be able to start working on FB, BoB and PF when eyes open. Oleg has his familyqualitytime while eating breakfast and tourmenting himself with reading the posts and "suggestions" in ORR.

While I would buy 3-4 copies of a WW1 sim by the Oleg'ians, I think the ww1 planes have no place in FB. There are however lots of 1930 planes that saw action on all sides early in the war, and many were still present in 1940-41. A few of these would be nice.

----------------------------------------------

Ofcourse I would like to see ww1 planes.
I would buy a ww1 sim by the Oleg'ians even if i didnt like ww1.

I agree with Ob theres plenty of 30's crapplanes both for FB/AEP (& PF) not yet modelled

Henschel 123 (whatever happened with that model?)

P-26 'Peashooter' for Philippino airforce and Ki-10 for the japanese in PF are other examples...

Wow! Wierd!
Every time I host a Bi plane server on HL
it is packed. It would be a fun Add On. Crapplanes? There are no CrapPlanes Just
CrapPilots.

I think thats a great idea. I like the biplane servers... I think it is short sighted to limit the possibilities of this sim. :Its an Eastern Front Sim" "Its a WW2 sim" BALONEY!!! What it is is the best prop sim on the market today ans it actually does a decent job with the few jets in it as well. Korea and WW1... for free..or even as an add on? In this sim? With these graphics and features? You betcha. If I were a modeler myself I would do something. Unfortunately I am not.

That's a bummer, for a moment my hopes were up.

Its a great idea for some diehard enthusiasts.

I'm with Bearcat, even if it doesn't get released, it was a nice idea and the model of the Albatros is stunning.... Maybe one day, now that KoE is out for the count, it will get picked up again. WW1 is all too neglected by modern developers and we are long overdue a good WW1 sim.

Yeah, I'm with Bearcat as well. I'd love a good WWI portion of this sim. I've said it a million bizillion times, I will pay for quality planes with this engine. (to a limit obviously). WWI and Korean planes would be great.

How I would love some Great War planes in an ad on! It doesn't need to me a lot, just a few classics, like an Albatross, a Pub or Camel and perhaps a Fokker Triplane. Low-level turn-and-burn flying in slow biplanes is insanly fun!

actually my feelings are that a WW1 sim 7 a Korean War CFS would both show off Air Combat better than a WW2 sim can

because you have the feirce slow speed fighting in a WW1 sim

& you have the fastest , most powerfull "DogFighting , Guns Only" planes in a Korean War sim

id be a big fan & purchaser of both : )

A pay add on for WWI is a no-brainer.
A Korean War Add-on for IL2 FB is questionable.

Why? The flight model.

WWI planes are slower, lower altitude and this game engine can handle that just fine.

The limits of the game engine which was developed for low to mid altitude Eastern Front scenarios is great. Many simmers complain about the high-altitude flight physics which are currently being taxed with P-47, FW-190D9, Ta-152 etc...etc....

So I'm left wondering at the suitablity for Mig-15, F-86, Buccaneer....etc

But I have no doubt that WWI planes would do really well in this environment.

I would pay $40 to $50 (US) for a nice WWI sim utilizing the FB engine. If done correctly I believe it would bring even more people to the sim and create enough revenue for Maddox to keep developing the great stuff that they do.

Don't you ever wonder where BOB might go with patches/add-ons after it's release? Hopefully back through the path we've been so fortunate to "ride on" with the IL2 series.

Most of the tactics used in modern air combat were invented by the WWI "crapplane" flyers. Low and slow is awesome and I don't expect it to be for everyone but for us hardcore enthusiasts it would be welcome. It would be great to try and knock someone off at less than 100m and expend most if not all your ammo trying to bring him down. I love to fly the WWII era planes but it would be nice for a break to join a WWI server, kick over an albatros or Camel and enjoy. Oh and if you had'nt noticed the aircraft are built 3rd party and believe me, I'm sure Oleg is getting his sleep.

A WW1 addon for FB would rock!

I'd buy it. Allot of work would be needed to recreat the maps, all the trenches, artillery effects (they'd have to be allot of those) and people running about but it would be so much fun to play.

Of course it would be wonderful. They should deffinetely include the Red Baron's Fokker (maybe even give it a default red skin http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif ) And for FB, they should include ground attack missions where u gota strafe troops!!! (i've always been terribly disappointed that I can't point my 30mm Me-262 cannons at infantry formations (or at least some S#itty 8 mm MG's...)
