52 Zebra to IL-2 Pacific Fighter Designers, stand by to copy incoming transmission over. I have the full-blown IL-2, Pacific fighter expansion pack and I love it.
I also have some other WW-II flight sim games and they do not compare, Microsoft Air-combat ,Warbirds, Aces High, BOB,to name a few
I also have Microsoft 2004 and the radio air traffic control is awesome. I would like to see IL-2€s radio traffic be more like that. Anyway,
I have a request, a flyable P-61 Black Widow, flyable B-26 Invader and a http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif flyable DeHavilland Mosquito.
What are the chances of that happening anytime soon or ever?
Keep up the good work you guys Rule.

52 Zebra over.

the Mossie is supposedly going to be in the next patch, though the P61 and B26, dont hold your breath, as I doubt it.

radio comm improvement would be nice, but i would highly doubt that will be sorted as the dev team are working mostly on BoB now

52 Zebra here,Thanks for the reply I have dumped some of my own music into the game and it works but I haven€t nailed the radio traffic yet. Some of the phrases aren€t all that good , for example requesting permission to land sir. No way, Any way if they just got better voices and a few cooler prases like , Army 450 request landing instructions over and Tower to Army 450 wind at 10 mph from the north ,Clear to inter landing pattern , you know stuff like that

B.Mk.IV will be AI controled only.

I'd much rather have more flyables than have better radio comms. I'd be happy if they didn't touch the radio comms if it meant we would get more flyables.

Thanks for the reply.
Very nice, I am looking forward to flying the Mosquito.
So what€s the problem with the 26 and the 61 ?
And how do they go about deciding witch planes to drop in to the game??? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Hey prangster, that's a nice tour of the mossie cockpit you've got there on your site, somehow I've missed that before. Great work!

But I'm especially looking forward to the mossie since I started reading "Night fighter ace" by Tony Spooner which is the story of the RAF's most decorated fighter pilot of the war (Bob Braham) - 29 kills, 22 at night.

The author was actually intending to write a book about Adrian Warburton, with the emphasis on him being the most highly decorated RAF pilot of the war when his publisher informed him that that honour was actually Bob Brahams, Tony Spooner admitted that he had'nt heard of him and set about writing a book about him instead!

Thanks snafu73. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I haven€t read Tony Spooner's book but I enjoyed Night Fighter by C.F Rawnsley and Robert Wright, a first hand account of the night fighter career of John "cats-eye" Cunningham by his radar operator.

Also Terror in the Starboard Seat by Dave McIntosh is a classic!

Check out Night Flyer by Lewis Brandon also.

I picked it up from Duxford, the story of his time in the Nav. seat of Beaus and Mossies.

I never realised they did so much training and practice flights. Brandon makes flying (British) nightfighters sound like the safest combat job of the War, but he might just be being self-deprecating.

'bout B-26 I don't know, but P-61 is modelled but will never see it's life in game because of some (legal) issues.

About Mosquito, like other folks said, it will probably be in game sometime in the future.

I do not think we will ever get the B-26 that was started by Immel - not sure to what point it got in the end anyhow.

I am glad however we are getting a A-20C! Too bad the A-20K did not make it though :-(

All more targets for my MG151s !

DZ Here, I have another question about IL-2 and Pacific fighters. I have the full blown merged game with the expansion pack, I have no other up grades, I would like to upgrade to what ever the latest level is right now. Can someone point me to the right links? The upgrade link page is quite confusing. DZ52, Over http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
