1. Repeater Compass functions backwards. Compass Navigating with big needle instead of split needle.
2. Landing Gear Indicators show gear operation in a horizontal movement instead of the virtical movement.
3. Supercharger lever indicator is off by one setting. Stage one shows lever in stage two position. Stage three shows lever off the thottle quadrant.
4. Poor dive ecceleration- At 10,000 feet it should be able to out dive and run from an A6M5.

He said dive acceleration not max dive speed. And he would be correct, but this does not just apply to the Corsair it applies to all planes. Proper dive acceleration and zoom climbs are not modeled. Many have been pleading with Oleg to incorporate such a feature but with no luck at this point.

not sure if it's been reported, but airbrake on corsair drops main landing gear. u can land the plane like this, but if u switch the brake off, ur gear collapses http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

The loadouts for the F4U-1 (Corsair I) and F4U-1A are wrong, too.

The F4U-1 didn't have a centerline or inner wing racks for external stores. The only capability it had to carry external stores were 100lb class bomb racks that could be fitted to the outter wings below the guns and just ahead of the ejection ports.

The F4U-1A wasn't built with inner wing racks, either. It could carry up to a 1,000lb bomb (officially, 2,000lbs unofficially) on the centerline rack. Or it could carry an external fuel tank. But it couldn't carry both at the same time.

The airbrake on the Corsair is the main landing gear. The "airbrake" control lowers the main landing gear but leaves the tailwheel retracted. because it wasn't designed to withstand the stress of high speeds.

if the A6 driver is human, the F4U driver certainly can outdive him http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Curtiss-P6E-Hawk, go ahead and send a bug report. I noticed the gear indicators myself, but I'll have to check your other bugs (I'm compiling a bug list while I play... so far just minor stuff.) The e-mail address is PF@1C.ru

I always thought using the split needle for actual heading had been incorrect in IL2/FB/AEP, and now it has finally been corrected (needle s/b heading and split s/b desired heading). Never had documented proof though, just every other sim disagreed with it.
