It is a Commonwealth CA-27 Sabre (note the 30mm Aden cannon ports). The prototype (CA-26)did not fly til Aug 3 1953, a bit late for the Korean War.

Would suck being in a Mig-15 in front of those guns. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Actually would suck being in any plane in front of that thing. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I never knew they were made with the Aden. Pretty neat. How many were made like that?
One more thing...How much ammo did they hold?

The Canadian one had two. Note that in the link above there are pictures of F86s with gunports on the right. It een states they had two cannon.

I don't see any mention of the armament for the Canadair Sabres in the link above, only for the Australian Sabres with 2 Aden cannon with 162 rounds of ammunition total.

Neat plane, but if I had the money I'd have a Curtiss Hawk 75 or a Grumman F3F.

Never did care much for kerosene.

Sorry but an Avon won't fit in an NAA F-86.

Yes it is cannonS.

Aimail, Canadair Sabres only carried machineguns.

I think the Sabre is one of the most graceful aircraft I've seen at an airshow. It really flies smoothly rather than apparently being shoved around by excess power like a modern jet.

Come to think of it was a Korean sim in the works?

Now, firt an Avon in, and I'd buy it.

I know where to get one, but it's cut half-open and stands on exhibition in our uni http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
