This morning i've found (in my town, in Italy) a french magazine dedicated to Curtiss Hawk 75...and of course there is a great H75 cockpit's pic with all the gauges.... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

No polemic...but...where is the problem here with the "french" fighters?

Weird eh? P-40B cockpit would have done just fine.

Would definitely be nice to have and not too much work as it already has a nice damage- and external model, just tuck the P40B cockpit on and refine the FM.

Eep, sorry, H-75 or P-36, the cockpit's a bit different either way, especially if it's the export version for the French. A lot of the controls were manipulated for the French's use rather than Americans. Throttle lever positioning, gauges, etc... It's a whole new pit to model.

So make a P-36 and then put some French markings on it and we're pretty close. That'd be better than nothing if anything were to be done about it I guess.

As far as I know the French had their throttle levers work the other way 'round, meaning that if you pushed it forward you actually decreased power and vice versa. Other than that I dont know any significant differences...

Time, money, and the fact development has moved on to SoW.

Solution:
Why Oleg dont let another team finish IL-2 cockpits and another infinity details?
The work SOW dont stop and IL-2 still live.

I am of the opinion I'd rather have a 6 DOF ultra-detailed Hawk 75 in BOB than keep giving transfusions to IL-2. I use FSX and what you are getting on the level of FSX and BOB is so much better than IL-2 I've lost all enthusiasm for the older sim. I think you'll think the same when you sample BOB.

Solution: engage your brain before posting?

Because they don't want to give the code away / they have legal obligations to Ubi to not engage in such dealings?

Some get saved some get left behind? Some is working of fixing IL2!

Or maybe it's the realization that a plane made for IL-2 could be made for SoW series instead. Total waste of time to work on a game that will be rendered obsolete in possibly less than a year.
