Some Australian blokes have built this Boeing 747-400 simulator in their 'basement.' It's on a motion bed and is in its 8th year of development but they've been simming away in it since year one. It's a work or art and even has smoke generators to help simulate onboard emergencies!

Check out their site here (http://www.hyway.com.au/747/index.html) it's well worth a peruse and some of you cockpit builders out there (who probably know all about this project but you never know) might find some software or tips that could be useful.

What like?... 20 Marlboro king size

It amazes me the lenghts people will go to, to simulate...or is this just an excuse to get the wife to dress up as a Stewardess

Yes Monty, it isa little mono-maniacal of them isn't it. Perhaps a left-handed Woodbine is what they need in addition to the 20 Marlborough Red.

Thanks!

We can all use this site as proof to our Wives/Girlfriends that we do not have IT that bad, and to help get them off our backs.

Wow... sucks that its a 747, i would have done a 737 or 777...

I work at an airport (delta hub actually), and have never seen a 747 :-)

Only 737, 767, and (rare) the Triple-seven

Most common airplane by far is the 737-800
