Wow!

Looks like they buried it too deep and the concrete took the blast.

Even so, had a Humvee been on top of the explosion it would have tipped it onto its roof.

Doesnt look like there was that much of a dangerous blast area however, unless you got hit by one of the large falling pieces of concrete.

Maybe, but I have seen similar video (easy to find on youtube) that shows such a device lifting an M1 MBT. I think that it would have done much damage had the timing of the baddies been a little better.

Don't be happy, the insurgents aren't so hi-tech guys. They can also detonate those IEDs with tv remote controllers or wires.

But they definitely messed this one up.

There seems to be an object in the road where the IED detonates.

If you watch the video [00.06] an object [it looks white and possibly round] is laying on the left side of the road. And also the road surface looks broken up or cracked just before that object.

Wow! Lucky for those guys the timing was off and it was buried too deep. From the amount of dirt that was moved there was plenty of explosive to destroy a vehicle had it been closer to the surface. They were still lucky it went off between the vehicles. I'm sure it would have flipped them over.

Check out the reaction time of the driver. I think he would do good in Formula 1!

That is one of the homliest, ugliest but most endearing lookin' mutts I've ever seen. Sigh if I wasn't allergic I'd head down to the pound and get it's twin right now.

Dang it!!!! Ah hates my life sometimes.

PS Memo to self, high explosives and hornets nests... bad combo.

Worf101... That is a Real Bummer about the allergy's. Although there are certain breeds that are not so allergic.
