I am a long time IL2/FB player but a relative newbie to the online end. On several servers, I have noticed B-29s, B25's, and B17s apparently player selectable and flyable, but when I try I get nothing. How are these non-player flyable planes accessible online?

Follow a two step process:

1) Select an aircraft that is actually flyable with a cockpit and all that and click Fly. Then click Refly.

2) Select an AI aircraft (a B-29 or a B-17 or a Tu-2 or whatever) and go about flying it. There is no cockpit you must fly from the external...but you can "use it".

Make sure you use the f2 key. When you crash or die and respawn you will have the view of where you last were when you died.Press f2 to get back to external view of your aircraft.
