Seems that Gigabyte seems to have solved one of the drawbacks of owning and SLI system...you had to buy a new motherboard with 2 graphics slots and you had to buy 2 graphics cards.

Why not just stick 2 cores together on the same card?!

THIS is the future...not the 2x graphics card solutions.

Reminds me of Voodoo 5500 (2 chips) and 6000 (4 chips) http://www.ubisoft.de/smileys/3.gif

But I also heard that ATi is going to have some kind of SLI that even supports different cards http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

So you just stuff a new card next to your old one and you don't have to throw the old one out http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif
Just imagine you'd have a 9800Pro and a X800XT in SLI, that would rock http://www.ubisoft.de/smileys/3.gif

That's the future http://www.dierk3er.privat.t-online.de/JG5/Bilder/v.gif

The problem of two cores is that the board must be expanded to accomdate the extra electricity for the two cores and the extra cooling fans. Its difficult to map a circuit for two graphic calculator on the same board without having a ciruit path burn up from too much current.
