While messing around in FB I noticed that when you fly the Heinkel you don't get any bombs to drop. You can't even open bomb bay doors! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

you need to change the load-out from default to whatever bomb load you desire.

Thats a bit better although still not many bombs. In the old war movies these things used to chuck out hundreds of 'em. I guess that was JUST the movies. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Can't help but think Im flying the millenium falcon when I sit in a Heinkel cockpit. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Me, I just think what a gutless heap of junk...it's short of 2 engines and flys like a a pregnant elephant, it wallows all over the sky and moves as quick as a lada http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I think its pretty nimble considering its size. Can turn, dive and climb quite easily without stalling. But with just 4 bombs on it its not much of a bomber.

They called it a "Blitz Bomber" for a reason...

It in it's day was designed to zoom in fast and actually somewhat low and deliver it's bomb load much like we'd think of modern day Ground force assist planes doing....Besides being able to do "semi" hi alt work. Try and imagine it as a Skyraider dropping napalm http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

However....It's day "peak" was really over about 1941...

and you need to recheck your loadouts...
The H2 "in the bomb bay carries either
20 x SC 70
30 x SC 50
2 x SC 250 + 8 x SC 50
2 x SC 250 + 8 x SC 70
4 x SC 250

The H6 externally
4 x SD 250
4 x SC 500
4 x AB 500
2 x SC 1000
2 x PC 1600
2 x SC 2000
2 x Torpedo

try dropping 2 SC 2000kg bombs....then tell me you don't have enough...

Me, I like the TB-3.

Flying in slow (130km/h!) at 750m, with flak flying all around you, wondering how in the heck you're still in the air and not a swiss cheese by now, trying to hold it steady while your bombardier mucks around with his TAS/IAS charts in order to place a less than perfect gunsight over what he hopes will be the target (assuming I've lined up correctly) when we fly over it.

All in all, it carries a decent bomb load for a plane produced in 1933.

I am best bomber. Anyone who sees a toilet when I'm finished with it knows I have deadly accuracy and a heavy bombload.

Honestly though:
The best twin we've got is either the He-111 or the B-25. Don't much like the A-20 as a level bomber.

TB-3 isn't a bomber, nor is its SPB I-16, Woofie. The TB-3 is a mobile AA platform.

Just dont believe everything the movie tells u is true. I love my heinkel esp when you get ******ed pilots slotting in on your six and trying to take u down. The only plane i fear attacking me is a jug due to its toughness.

The He111 makes for a great dive bomber with those 2xSC2000's. Too bad you can't drop one at a time. One of those bombs is overkill, I don't need to drop 2 in the same hole.

i prefer 4 to say 40 pissant spitballs for bombs. 4 is enough to take out 2 sep targets.

Those guys that fly online with NJG26/IKJG26 know how to win maps with the He111. They can bomb from 20,000 as if each dumb bomb had a laser guided sensor. I should know, I've been on the recieving end of their wrath.

There's two He-111s in the game. The H-2 and the H-6. The H-2 carries a large load of very small bombs (SC50s and SC70s). You probably remember seeing these in the Battle of Britain movie. The H-6 is different...it carries a few large bombs. The large bombs are far more effective overall...although the visual effect is not quite the same.

Well, I hope your night bombing is more accurate than that of the RAF around 1940!

Anyone else find the FAB5000 a tad much in terms of blast radius? It raises a freakin' mushroom cloud for crying out loud! I'm no munitions expert but all the other bombs in the game just seem puny in comparison, even the H-6's 2x2000kg bombs are not even close. What did the Russians put in that thing?! I think only the V1, V2 and Mistel are in the same ballpark.
