Londoners, what shops do you buy your diecast models from?

What about online? Which ones do you prefer?

Real men go 1/144th. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
Sweet & Platz are the best companies. Bandai Wing Club range comes a steady third.

The 1/72 title was only to attract those who'd know, Feathered http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif. I'm looking at this Sweet website http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif, but it's only 1/144 and kits. I prefer die-cast and more variety in scales like the Aircraft Collectors Models http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif, of which I'm already a member. I'm just looking for others too http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

There is a new range of plastic ready-mades in 1/72 that I saw the other day. They are very well finished and easily affordable (Au$17.95).
The Dora and Mig3 were stunning and the F4F,109 and F4U were not far behind. The overall quality was much better than the average Corgi. I can't remember the brand name though http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif I'll have to swing by the store and let you know.

I use 1/72nd scale kits for miniature wargaming - on land, though. There are games like "Mustangs & Messerschmitts" - which I have and have played at conventions - for 1/72nd scale aircraft. I found I prefer flying games on computer over miniature.
I also do a lot of MWG in 1/285th / 6mm as it allows for bigger battles up to battalion level.
