The German high altitude scheme used on the 109G-6/AS fighters which escorted the 190 Rammjager in 1944---overall RLM 76. Some late 190As also used the scheme and I like them. British and German night bombers looked wondrously sinister.

'Medarteranian' must be one of the species in the Star Wars universe. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Sigh......... I say again not everyone has English as their first tongue and it is incredibly rude to make the childish comments we see here........ when one is perfect cast the first stone....... but no one is.

I like the European schemes http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Sorry, TT, but it doesn't take a Ph.D. in linguistics to guess that the miscreant was trying to batter the word from native English---a-and who else but a Yank would use a moniker like "Eldude"?

Well, maybe that doobie he lit as he started his post began to kick in about the time he reached 'Euorpean'.

Or he could be a victim of his local school board (did his school not teach about Hitler, Stalin, Churchill and FDR because "war isn't nice?")...

cheers

My favorite are the desert schemes.

Also enough with the stupid comments.

I like the Luftwaffe fighter paint schemes. Especially some of the late war 190's and the 262's.

I also like the all black scheme that some of the US night fighters used.

They all have their charms (except natural metal, it looks so anemic). Personally I like skins worn and patchy, which is why I woted "winter". Winter skins usually makes the plane look like it has been through a lot.

Me neither. But the Latin root of 'Mediterranean' ('Mediterran-') is spelled exactly the same in almost every tongue of the planet, including Japanese, Hindi and even -I guess- Navajo, because it is a very very old and well known place name. So I don't buy that it is simple ignorance: it is that some guys are simply too lazy to bother typing the words back once they have made a mistake, and that, my friend, is rude and inconsiderate towards the addressed ones.
