Okay, I know this has been asked about a bazillion times before so please don't hate me. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/351.gif

I know there is a way to make AI planes flyable, albeit only from external views. Does anyone know how this is achieved?

Also is it possible to use the FMB to create a mission that could be flown offline utilizing such a plane?

Thanks Guys http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Err...

Okay, I gather that I'm supposed to alter an existing list somewhere in the sim...but can you direct me to where I'd find it? I only have PF, not any of the add ons.

Thanx again.

It only works in Dogfight (multiplayer) mode. You can do it "offline" if you host the mission yourself, but you'll be the only plane in the mission because you can't have computer controlled aircraft in DF mode.

You need to create a DF mission in FMB with a limited plane set, then open the mission file in a text editor and add the required AI aircraft. You'll need at least one flyable in the list, as you can't control an AI only until you've spawned in a flyable and then ESC/Re-fly.
Once you've added the AI aircraft in the mission file, if you open the mission again in FMB the AI aircraft will be deleted from the list automatically by FMB.

Thanks Tully,

Do I understand correctly from what you've said that it would be impossible to make a campaign utilizing such a plane? Or rather, that no opposing AI fighters could be incorporated in such a campaign?

That's correct. You'd have to recruit a bunch of human pilots and fly your campaign as a series of DF missions.
