In development by third-party modellers.

Why, did you want to help? /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I hope this isn't one of those posts were you just whine about it.

Now that you mention it, I'm not sure what the heck a "Spritfire" is either!

The Spitfire is coming. There will be several. The Spitfire IX (two versions), the Spitfire XIV with clipped wings and I believe the five prong prop. It had the next generation Merlin engine, the Griffon. I also think there will be a Spitfire V, as well.

The planes will come on an expansion disk in the - hopefully - not too distance future.

go here and click on the plane pages on the left.

YES. Certain. Oleg has agreement with UBI soft. He also has posted about it in this forum recently. A lot of planes coming and probably more areas, maps. If I was a gambler I would put my money on other forgotten battle type areas. Manchuria, Kuril Islands, Texas. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I only wonder if they manage to model the torque effect correct on this lovely bird. I've read some interesting reading about a person that got a ride in a two-seat training Spit. And the pilot told: If you get too low on final, and give full power without any correction of rudder, the plane will flip over to an upside down position, and then in most cases crash. This does also include the torque effect during takeoff. ALOT of right rudder was needed to make the plane stay on the runway. I guess this include some other "big prop and engine" planes too.

My loud thinking,
Pawnee
