I was very surprised to find a nice PDF manual listed in the start menu after installation. If you purchase Banzai, you'll find the info contained therein very helpful. However, with the new PF flight model (which is a test of the flight model in the coming Battle Of Britain sim from 1C), some of the info is outdated, since the AI now uses the same flight models as the human players. Still, it was good to find more than simply a pack of missions, and nothing else.

As was mentioned before, some very cool splash screens are also part of the package. These are silhouette profiles of the PTO aircraft encountered as you play through the game. Any lover of WWII aircraft will find it impossible to not install these, but to repeat: backup the originals!

'No skins' No shovelware, very refreshing
'No campaigns' You didn't read the review and do not have the addon.

What do you think this is a box with a blank CD in it?

Your dislike for payware is known. If you do not have anything constructive or indeed accurate to post in a thread please stay out of it.

If you wish to discuss this further take it to PM

I do have it snoopy

774 MB (811,971,295 bytes) just to let you know that i do. Its actually so bad I uninstalled it.

I did read the review and disagree with it but thats just my 2 cents, and i ment dynamic changing campaigns.

BOE is the only excellent quality one skins and dynamic campaigns.

TLD looks fantastic in screens, and tanker spent so much time on building some of the great looking cities, and the NA maps ran ok in 3.04 but in 4.01 man its complete overkill.

if you or tsisqua helped in the development of it I appologize but I say how I feel about a product no matter what. I did not think TLD was a quality product becuase it was complete overkill and fps effecting, to me its not about how many ground items are used to be a professionally made but the campaigns themselves, the ability for high mid and low end systems to all run it smoothly, quality of skins, offline as well as online coops and df missions etc. Tanker was very bitter about my opinion of tld also but the ammount of time he spent on it I can definatly understand why he was. But I say what i think of it honestly.

LS, I was already expecting your famous crankiness. It only makes me like you more. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

IMHO, yes, it could have been better; the lack of skins being my only real complaint. However, it was much needed, and well researched.

Good review. Informative and honest, also...

"A wise move from 1C, and what probably saved the game from complete failure, was coding which allowed the owners of the previous releases (IL2 Forgotten Battles and the Aces Expansion Pack) to merge their Pacific Fighters installation into one game. So loyal fans of the IL2 series seem to have supported the release in order to have the entire series as one game."

Not a truer word was said. Most of us were afraid at the time of developement that Oleg wasn`t going to incorporate PF into FB/AEP and I know I would not have bought PF if he hadn`t. Indeed, it saved Pacific Fighters. Oleg knows common sense. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
