I just noticed on the new Interview (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gc-09-assassins-creed/55028) at 3.05 that Ezio had 2 weapons on him at the same time.. A Sword and a short-sword
http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/1024/2weapons.jpg I tought you could only have 1 on you.. That's awezome.. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Sooo.. What's your toughts on AC2 this far? I personally can't wait.. Everything look so nice and smooth... I'm blown away of everything... I want to get freezed down to kill the waiting like Cartman when he's waiting for the Wii... But I doesn't want to end up thousands of year later and not get to play it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

The first one was the first game this gen for me, loved it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

EDIT: His shadow looks a bit funny btw http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

I did notice that when he picked up the pidget.

I think it's the same thing as with the first game, only this time the short blade isn't on his back but on his belt (as it was the custome back then).

So far the game looks great, I really can't wait to get it, but I'm worried that I might get it 6 months later (PC).

I just noticed that Ezio looks emo when he's loading the gun.

really? I was paying attention to the new firing mechanic, it's cool how it dissolves into a line, makes u have to sorta snipe it out

I'm a bit dissapointed it's only based on time and not accuracy (holding until the lines come together, and nothing beyond it).

i agree, i wish it had some form of an aiming system to make you kinda have to work for your kill with it. maaaaaybe ac3? haha

I kinda like the way the firing mechanic works.
Also, maybe it would be cooler if hey was aiming with his arm, like he stretches it out and aims with it..i guess http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Yeh could be.

I do like the recoil mimic thought, how his hand flew back after the shot. It's kinda what would happen in rl.

I think it would be easier to aim if the gun was facing the other way (on the top-side of his forearm, pointing upwards). It would also allow for a longer barrel, greater stability and a smaller profile so you can shoot in cramped spaces easier.

It wouldn't matter that much, and maybe it has something to do with the attachment of the blade with the gun.

Ubisoft didn't do that because they were smart, thank god. An aiming mechanism would completely ruin the flow of gameplay.

It already breaks flow, considering you have to hold it down until it has reached a certain point.

Can't wait for AC2. #1 was the best game I have ever played. I hope AC2 can top that. I think it will.

You don't have to hold it down that long, and I doubt Ubisoft is encouraging you to use it at any time.

Anyway, if you're really that bothered, just use the throwing knives (although now it's 2-hit-kill instead of 1-hit like in AC1)

And the British SAS, they're called "Pinkies". Well, not really Humvees, but rough-terrain assault vehicles.

And what I meant was it would be easier to aim if the gun was pointing in the opposite direction on the other side of your arm. Try it now; aim with your wrist as if you had a gun there, then fold your arm and try aiming with your elbow. It's steadier and shorter, think of it as the bullpup-equivalent of a "Da Vinci hidden gun".

The gun on the outside of the arm wouldn't be as well concealed.

Xanatos2007
08-29-2009, 07:12 PM
Yeah I guess, but neither is a sword strapped to your hip. Well, it is partially concealed by his cape and it wasn't uncommon for people to carry around daggers for self defence, or rapiers, or bodyguards, or all three. And it doesn't seem anyone knew what a gun was back then, if he had it on the outside of his arm people likely wouldn't notice (until it was too late!).

There would definantley be a higher body count if it was on the outside of his arm. But not bcause it's more accurate, just because a bunch of annoying people would be asking, "What the heck is that?"

Danvish

Well I just gave a shot to what you suggested Xana, if the barrel was pointed to where the elbow is (if that's what you mean) it would disaband his shoulder the first time he tried using it. No way he could have suffered the recoil.

Keep in mind that flint/wheel-lock guns don't have a lot of recoil, and if you use your left/right hand (which ever arm has the gun on it) as a buttstock it does help steady your aim and handle recoil.

Still too dangerous. In that kind of gun, the poweder will be in the gun only, and not on the bullet, so the gun will still fly back dangerously.
