I can't believe the noobs have a theme-song. I'm so jealous. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Is that Oleg singing? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

What game is that? I like the environment. Imagine having that with Oleg's FMs. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif

yea i agree it would of been funnier if:
A)Oleg was singing
B)was done with our FM's
http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

The land details were very impressive. Now I'm more curoius about what to expect in BoB. You have to admit, after seeing that clip, Oleg's land details just don't cut it. But I guess, combining detailed land and Oleg's FM would be a bit of a stress on our pc's.

Time for an upgrade. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

That song was written by David "Tolwyn" Shaw, and was used by Dart in his video, "Flying For The First Time".

Download it here:

Great video, but I fly like that all the time. Even after a year with Il-2 I guess I'm still a noob...

I am curious though, just what sim is the track from?

Well one of the reasons it looks soo well is becouse of the fact that its kinda like a battlefield 1942 but much more realistic. Meaning u can be on ground, navy, plane, paratrooper, tanker, etc..

That song is hilarious

"Anyone perfect must be cheating,
Flying with externals and their cockpit off.
Everyone's plane is so lovely
How much does Forgotten Battles cost?"

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Why haven't I heard this before?

Ohh, anyone who missed it so far, it is a must to look at the video clip from Dart, with that it's even better! He complied clips from online events that exactly match the relevant parts of the song, it's one of the best IL2 movies of all times.

Imressive all right.
But perhaps I'm going to spoil the party if I say that if all terrain of for example Smolesk map is modelled in such manner game would have around 5-10fps on highest systems.

That is in spirit of what Oleg once said about idea of implementing some stunning ground graphics.

However some things could be improved and they will be improved in BoB by large margin (at least from some OM BoB screenshots I saw).

Ive never had any complaints with our ground graphics. Like i said they look better on ww2online becouse that game is played by ground troops aswell.

I think that our ground graphics look good, some of the details in the towns are very kol.
Even as the game starts to show some age the ground effects are still up to par.

The other day i went to a electronic store and played century of flight: flight sim. The ground graphics wanted to make me puke, even as it was run on a high end computer the ground looked all botchy.

Soo even dough it could improve we gota admit its not bad looking at all.

Ground detail is only like this when flying low.

Up high visibilty drops quite a bit due to enivornmental factors like haze and clouds.
In WW2OL you don't have perfect 100nm visibilty like in IL2.

WW2OL is excellent for ground attack for two reasons: the enemies are humans, and everything is correctly sized.

Did you see what happened when he clipped that tree with his wing? Minus on e wing. Seems logical. The other day I had just killed all my enemies and had lots of few and free time left. I decided to fly just above and in between so buildings. Did you know we have invisible buildings? So much for joy riding.

Sometimes I like to fly low enough that when I pull back quickly on the stick, the tail touches the ground. Don't do the anywhere near the forsets. The trees become invisible when you are low enough. 3 squirrels needlessly died. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif Oh yes, and one 109.

I've never complained about the ground effects until I saw this clip. Oleg has no more excuses. He is the best right?

I hope BoB has a really improved environment.

With BoB, no one will be struggling for good water any more. Everyone will be more concerned about how to get WavyGrass=3 working.
