Strange request. It is not a good idea to provide this information to anyone via email...ever.

You might ask him to send a money order. When the proceeds are safely in the bank, ask for shipping information....ummmm...

People from Nigeria are wonderfull, they give millions away to poor people in first world countries every day why even as recently as last week a Nigerian wanted to put 4 million dollars into my account naturally I gave him the details he required and now I am wealthy beyond my wildest dreams.
So YES give him anything he askes for. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

I had such an experience on eBay a while ago. A person approached me and offered quite a lot more money for my cellphone that it was worth when it was new. There also was a heartbreaking story about his daughter in Nigeria who desperately needs the phone. When I agreed, I received a fake payment confirmation letter with advice to send the item ASAP. After I had sent the item, I should have emailed the package tracking number to the fake payment service email address. Right http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Funny thing was, I got 3 such offers from totally different persons in the same day.

Never, ever, ever do anything that involves buying or selling something from or to Nigeria. It's virtually certain to be a scam.

Do not reply! Run!

Cheers,

RocketDog.

You is all wrong be sure!!
A very friendly chap, (a barrister so I know he is truthful), contacted me about a cousin I did not know I had. My unfortunate cousin was an executive of Shell Oil in Nigeria and also happened to be moonlighting as a CIA operative. Unfortunately he was murdered in very shady circumstances, but not before he lodged $14 million with the Barrister. Naturally being an honest guy my barrister searched long and hard before he tracked me down. He then offered to let me have my "inheritance" for a simple fee of $2500 up front. All I had to do was send him the money and the $14 million would be transferred straight into my account.
I'm still thinking about it.... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

For all scams check this site out very funny!!:

Examine most spam filters and you will find the word 'nigeria' in the database.

Would that include all the Nigerian Doctors and Nurses that work in the NHS?

Sorry to disagree with some here but... any unsolicited response from Nigeria should be avoided. Complete scama and rubbish, on Ebay, they highlight these guys all the time. Not just Nigeria though, Indonesia is also rife with scammers. Run, run far and fast.

Avoid like a smelly thing thats been wrapped in my jockstrap, thats been left in my sports bag for twelve months, and never been washed!!!

Uk does not have zip codes, they have post codes, and I can 100% assure you that M155FF is not a Glasgow post code, its not even a UK code.

Yep, same here.

Got three Nigeria emails this year for a rich uncle (which I don't have) trying to send me his long lost inheritance. In fact, it was $14 Mill. All I had to do was wire $5K.

What I REALLY like about this thread is that everyone came forth so quickly to help answer the original question without hesitency.....EXCELLENT!!

We just sold a car we advertised on the net as well.

We got flooded with people who wanted to buy it so the could send it overseas.

All of them wanted to send a check or money order to buy the car + send us enough to ship it to them.

<span class="ev_code_RED">Red Flag!</span>

They all wanted us to find shipping for them.
I asked around some and found they get you to ship the car and then stop pay on the money order or check, by the time you realize it, the car is sitting in Tiawan, or Sinagapore and you have no money.

Started replying to all of them that if they wished us to handle shipping we required wire transfer in advance.

They all disappeared
