What do you think of overcast skies:

Would it be possible to add a high overcast cloud cover in Pacific Fighters or at least a sky with a grey color?

Cheers,

Sorry sir, you will get improved clouds but no overcasts. I know it'd be nice http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Don't need overcast clouds....just vastly increase the sheer *number* of classic FB clouds per unit area and we can approach overcast conditions. Actually, it would be a sky so packed with cumulus clouds that few holes are seen. You often see this, at least here in Florida which can't be too far from tropical Pacific weather.

Also consider that classic FB clouds cast ~very~ beautiful shadows on the ground and the sea, so a sky packed almost solid with FB clouds would make the surface mostly in dark shadow, with perhaps spots of bright sunlit regions. Awsum! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

As my old Trident integrated motherboard video could handle Detailed classic FB clouds easily (but not cockpits), VASTLY improved or more populated clouds are within newer video cards power, and will help to extend the life of the sim in the future. Granted the number idea should be Optional for those who still have motherboard grafix (like me until two months ago).

Perfectly right. It would be cool too to have clouds staying at higher altitudes than in AEP.
