German and Japanese Radio "Chatter" mods done. Russian version should be done by the end of the week. I'm just waiting for Runner to get back to me as he said he would host them.

What they do is "play" in the background using FB's "InFlight" music option. The purpose behind them is to add yet another degree of realism/immersion to an already great sim.

The files use the voices found in Forgotten Battles, EAW and Rowans Battle of Britian, and provide a total of 25 to 30 minutes of "back ground" radio chatter. They were made this long because I didn't want the chatter ending in the midst of a long mission. As a matter of fact, on my set-up I've copied and renamed the files, which come numbered 0-9, to 10-18 which should give me nearly an hour of non-stop background SFX.

The voices and other SFX, including static, mic clicks, morse code and other goodies have that distant fade in and fade out real radio sound effect.

In the creation of the chatter pack mod I have tried to use the phrases in proper order so that they follow ("start to finish") missions of their own and what the conversations between the participants might sound like during those flights.

Installation and use.

1) Copy or extract the .wav's into your "C:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles\samples\Music\InFlight" folder.

2) Start FB. From the main menu go to "Hardware Setup" The "Sound Setup".

3) On the "General tab," flip the "Music" switch to the up position.

4) Press the "Music" button and flip the "InFlight Tracks" switch to the up position.

5) Press the "General" button and set the music knob to about 1/4.

6) Start FB and fly a mission and enjoy!

Hopefully I'll hear from runner soon so the files will be available for download.

"The best fighters I met in combat were the American P-51 Mustang and Russian Yak-9U. Both of those types obviously exceeded all Bf109 variants in performance, including the 'K'. The Mustang was unmatched in altitude performance, while the Yak-9U was champion in rate of climb and maneuverability."

No. Until runner gets back to me, or another person steps up to host the files, we're all out of luck. Sorry.

I'll post as soon as something happens.

TRIPLE_AA,
I've sent you an EMail with instructions on getting the files up on my Site... You'll see that you have to send them to my site 'co-host'..once you do so, the files should be available for downloading by Wednesday or Thursday at the latest...

Do NOT Email the files to Me...I'll download them, myself, from the Site. (confusing, I know...but trust me, it will work.)
