S!

Whell I have a big problem adjusting Single Player Campaign becouse I'dont recall variables which were explained in some of the patches(can't findit anymore :-( ) where was explained what to insert into end of conf.ini file.

By default those variables doesent exist in conf.ini and you have to manualy edit and add those which I'cant thinkoff wright now.

((( why arent they allready there so you can just adjust it it's beyond me http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif )))

Default game settings doesent do it for me http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Can someone point me where to find it explained or just throw it here so I'can finly do it :P

most gratefully,

KroatJG1_OsA

P.S. It would be great if everything so far added to conf.ini would be actualy there ...

There is an MS Word file in the main FB directory "ReadMe" either v1.21 or v1.22. The info is in the this file.

Check SimHQ.com forums, there is a gentlemen called Hondo (do a search) that has built a small program to adjust all of the campaign variables in a GUI. Apologies as I have no URL, but yesterday it was still at the top of Il2forum at Simhq.

IL2 Stab is a gui that does that for you and a lot more, like restore Swastikas to German planes and many more nice things. You'll never have to edit your conf.ini again. It also has html documents that explain in detail what effects the settings have. Get it here: http://www.users.on.net/~mjtm/IL-2/

Wow, that program is SO COOL!

I never knew how to enable arcade mode before. Its a real eye opened. The arrows showed I hit the tail-end gunner of a B-17, but he didn't die! I KNEW there was something fishy about AI gunner damage models.

Oh and yep... just one .303 in the engine area of a Ju87 set it ablaze.

Another fine GUI for the ini file is IL2-Manager. Sorta hard to find, and equally difficult to locate at it`s host site, http://www.checksix-fr.com/

Therefore, a direct link for you:

You have to be careful about taking those arrows as proof of what you hit and what you didn't.

They only show the path of travel of the projectile in question, and do not account for armor. I've got screenshots of one of those arrows coming in the back of the cockpit of my P39 and exiting through the pilot's right eye. By all rights, I should have been killed, but I wasn't. However, the arrow cut right through some armor plating that was behind the headrest/seat.

Without the armor in place, I'd have been killed, and the arrow shows that, but because there was armor in that location I wasn't even scratched. Taking the positions of the arrows at face value can be a bit confusing, so if you think you got a crew kill but didn't, it's probably because the shot was stopped by armor.
