I totally forget how to land. Seriously guys I have been playing this series since the first IL-2 and apart from the first few missions have been able to land fine.

Take a 6 month break from the game and the very worst part is I cant land. However, start doing a PTO campaign and land on a carrier EVERY time no probs.

I know landing on an airstrip should be easier. I know what Im doing wrong (coming in too fast, busting the landing gear) but for the life of me after 6 missions I've broken the gear everytime.

Sorry just needed to vent and have everyone get a good laugh at my expense. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Welcome back.

Just for practice, (I don't know what settings you usually use, up to you), try enabling externals and hit F8 as you get close to the runway.

You should be approaching dirty, 200-250 at the most. As you get within a few meters of the runway, you should be around 200 or so, depending on a/c. Chop your throttle the rest of the way (it was probably at 30% or less) and as it sinks, pull back gently. If you start to rise, your pulling back too much. This will hopefully help you get that "feel" back. Hope this helps, good luck and
